I work mainly on science fiction and history of colonial science. For my articles on science fiction, I have won the 2017 Foundation Essay Prize, I have been the Honorable Mention for the IAFA Jamie Bishop Award 2016, and I have also won the Strange Horizons Readers' Poll Award 2013.
